The end of another year is approaching.

I used to loathe New Year’s in my adolescence, because the idea of time passing had always made me feel a little melancholy. As a young adult, you were always anticipating the next chapter. Whether it be the next grade, the next semester, or the next school…we always had something to anticipate, and that was how life worked for a time.

Now, things are a bit different. Adulthood is different. Maybe now, New Year’s is a time of ardent reflection. A chance for renewal. To be whoever you want to be.

In this post at the beginning of this year, I’d set some goals for the blog. Now, let’s see if they were met!

• More original photos – the motel did end up buying a camera this year, and some of the photos taken with it were featured in this Boston/Maine post! I hope to take more pictures next year and beyond. Though, it is terribly difficult to take pictures while traveling. Maybe I’ll get the hang of it!
• More creative and advanced UI and UX – there were lots I wanted to add to the blog in terms of website functionality, but my knowledge of wordpress and website building is so limited. Moreover, I didn’t quite have the time or motivation to learn it. Perhaps this will be a continued goal throughout the life of this blog.
• More quality posts – I’m not sure how the quality of posts can be defined so similarly, perhaps this, too, will be a continued goal.

Amazing, people! 2022 is nearing behind us. Hoping to post more in the upcoming year, and hopefully some interesting anecdotes will follow!
