This blog has been such a wonderful journey thus far. There is so much joy in sharing what you love with the world and we are so excited to continue in the year 2022!

I perhaps should’ve posted this within the first week of January, but the thoughts would’ve been premature. Without further ado, here are the motel’s goals for the new year:

• More original photos – the motel is saving up for a quality camera that will be aimed at taking more original photos for the site. Only so much can be done through the photos and vision of others and the likes of Pinterest and Google Images – now is the time to make our own. Hopefully, we can incorporate more of those in our future posts in the spring.
• More creative and advanced UI and UX – there are many fun things we could add to the site to make it more fun. The problem is, my bandwidth for WordPress theme design is terribly limited. Looking forward, we would love to expand with a new theme that will give readers a more advanced and interactive experience with the blog, as if they are visiting a motel for real.
• More quality posts – this blog also partially serves as a way for me to constantly work on my amateur writing skills. It is a skill that I am progressively working on and in the future, the motel aims to write more engaging, well-articulated, fulfilling posts.

Though the past year (or two) have presented the motel with its own share of trials and turbulations, one thing has always stood true: coffee. My solace, my anchor, and my remedy, it is a constant that I will cherish in the first sips of my morning for as long as I will love it.

Twelve days in, the year already feels optimistic and bright. Here’s to a bigger and better one. Cheers!
